2018 Pennsylvania Historic Preservation Award
Special Focus Award - Public Impact
The Colonial Theatre’s expansion, performed by CH&E, was recognized by the Preservation Alliance of Greater Philadelphia. The historic theater, 227 Bridge St., was honored with a 2018 Preservation Achievement Grand Jury Award, which recognizes historic building projects that have been restored or renovated in an “exemplary way.”
2018 C. Emlen Urban Award
Master Craftsman Award
Presented for meritorious efforts to save a historic structure through master level building skills and knowledge.
Alex Benedict and Mike Heider from Caldwell, Heckles & Egan (CH&E), and Dave Horst from Dave Horst Masonry, for masonry and millwork on the restoration of the Shreiner Farm.
2018 Allied Trades Award
This award was given for contribution to the built environment by a contractor, developer, civil engineer, or other allied professional. It is to honor those professionals who bring our work into reality and who uphold the tenets of design, sustainability and collaboration.
