Lancaster City Hall
2014 "Achievement Award"
Lancaster, PA

CH&E was awarded the General Construction contract for a project to revamp the City Hall building in downtown Lancaster. The building was originally constructed in 1892 to serve as Lancaster's post office, and hadn't received any major renovations since 1980.

Work consisted of renovations to the existing 16,000 square foot facility and the new construction of a three-story 18,000 square foot addition. Mechanical upgrades, as well as a brand new elevator, brought the building into compliance with federal ADA standards.

CH&E last worked on City Hall in 1995 to reconstruct the Tower Belvedere after it was struck by lightning. Click here for more information about that project.
