Jersey Shore YMCA - "YMCA Service Appreciation Award"

CH&E Construction's North Branch recently completed a major renovation project at the Jersey Shore YMCA. Work included a new 3,000 sq ft Wellness Center, a 1,600 sq ft Aerobics Room that provides space for group exercise classes, a new 900 sq ft free-weight room, and the creation of a new Teen Center. This area will be designated as a place where teens can gather to do homework, socialize, or enjoy games. This area, already named the “Brick House” will offer a safe, supervised place for teens to go after school. It can also be used by the Y-staff for other programs.

The entire project took place in what was an old, unused bowling alley. In completing this renovation the YMCA hopes to provide some very attractive new amenities that will entice new members and encourage the existing ones to adopt a healthy lifestyle.

CH&E was selected to receive the YMCA's Service Appreciation Award for the level of service that was provided to the YMCA during their renovation project.

Says Dave Fagerstrom, River Valley Regional YMCA President/CEO, "This renovation project shows what can happen when the community comes together to help an organization like the YMCA. The team was friendly, extremely helpful, and very knowledgeable throughout the entire construction period."
